Message from The Vice Chancellor

It is a great pleasure and privilege for me to congratulate the graduates and postgraduates of different disciplines on the 1st Convocation of the university. I would also like to congratulate their parents and guardians, the Chairman and members of the Board of Governors, the faculty and the staff of the university who collectively contributed in the making of what Metropolitan University is today.
Established just in 2003, Metropolitan University cannot claim to have a distant ancestry but it can certainly claim to have started a tradition of its own with emphasis on learning and dissemination of knowledge through research. From the very beginning we have endeavoured not only to impart the necessary expertise and knowledge to our students but also to inculcate in them patriotism, respect for values and other qualities that might make them something more than wise human robots. If we look back at our arduous journey and the goals we have so far reached, we must admit that we have a long way to go in the direction of perfection. We pledge to continue it.
     I wish the 1st Convocation a success.

Professor Md. Abdul Aziz
Vice Chancellor
Metropolitan University
